Payment Options

The Automatic Bill Payment is a method by which the Cooperative draws money from your bank account to pay your monthly electric bill. Once you sign up, your payment will be deducted automatically from your checking or savings account on the 20th of every month. You will receive a statement each month showing your electric usage, and the deduction will appear on your bank statement.

You can set up Auto Pay with a credit card, but it must be set up through SmartHub. Riverland Energy Cooperative pays the credit card processing fee.

You can receive your statement and make a payment online through SmartHub. SmartHub delivers accurate and timely information regarding your electric account. It is a free application that can be accessed through our website or by downloading the application on a compatible mobile device. SmartHub can be used to view bills and usage, make changes to your electric account or make payments in a secure environment.

When paying online through SmartHub with a credit card, Riverland Energy Cooperative pays the credit card processing fee.

Payments can be dropped off at our offices in Arcadia or Holmen during regular business hours. After hours, drop boxes are available to be used at our Arcadia and Holmen offices (no cash, please). Drop boxes are checked each morning and throughout the day, M-F.

Prepaid billing allows you to control your budget well beyond what you can with monthly billing. Because you pay in advance on prepaid billing, you control how much you use and spend BEFORE you get billed for it. Keeping an eye on your account in SmartHub helps you recognize how you use electricity and when you need to cut back to stay on budget.

If your funds get depleted, you get a notification prior to service being disconnected. This gives you a chance to make a payment without ever losing service.

If you pay your bill by mail, we suggest mailing your payment at least five (5) business days before your due date to ensure your payment is processed on time. Payments by mail should include the account number(s), be sent in the envelope provided, and mailed to:

Budget billing allows residential members to better plan for their monthly electric expenses without fluctuation or seasonal spikes. The budget amount is based on your previous 12-month usage. The budget amount will be adjusted once a year depending upon the actual usage. If you were using more electricity than you were budgeted for, the budget amount will increase. The budget amount will decrease if you were using less electricity.

Qualifications:

Your account must be current and in good standing.
You must have been an active member of the cooperative for the past 12 months.

You can also call 855-938-3644 and make a payment with your credit/debit card or bank account information through our automated customer service IVR (Interactive Voice Recorder) system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
