Recycle Drive May 21-23

Riverland Energy Cooperative is teaming up with Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations to host its annual Recycle Drive May 21, 22, and 23 at three different locations. Materials can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Arcadia office (N28988 State Road 93) on May 21; in Alma (1225 S. Main St.) on May 22; and in Onalaska at the Aquatics Center Parking Lot (251 Riders Club Road) on May 23.

Many items can be recycled at no charge. The list of free items include computers, printers, scanners, DVD players, stereos, speakers, and more.  Televisions will be $20, desktop computer towers and computer monitors will be $5. There is a limit of three televisions per member.

Accepted appliances include microwaves, stoves, washers, microwaves, dishwashers, dryers, and furnaces. Refrigerators, freezers and window A/C units are free only to Riverland Energy Cooperative members; there will be a $15 recycling fee for non-members, and a limit of two per member.  Freon devices and dehumidifiers will be a $15 charge; other items range between $2 and $5.  

Cash or check payment is due at the drop-off site, and co-op members are asked to bring a copy of their electric bill as proof of co-op membership.
